Goku Will Join the ‘Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’ Character Lineup in New Content Update

Bandai Namco Entertainment in Europe has shared a new character trailer for an update to the action-role playing video game Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. First launched in November 2016 as a sequel, the game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch, and still regularly receives new content updates.

Players serve as Time Patrollers in Conton City, protecting the Past and the Future from evil intruders. Previous updates to the game have brought in characters such as Gogeta from Dragon Ball Super: Broly, Kale and Caulifla from Super Saiyan 2 and more.

In the latest teaser, developers introduce Goku (Ultra Instinct) from the Dragon Ball Super series. Selected based on the results of a vote among the game’s players, the defensive warrior has a slew of skills, including the punishing Secret Sensation and the protective anti-air Rising Heat.

“Get ready to defend Universe 7 by becoming the ultimate Saiyan form with Goku,” the trailer’s caption reads.

While developers didn’t share an exact date, they said that Goku will make his way to Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 sometime during summer 2022.

In other gaming news, a 2003-04 LeBron James signed rookie patch card was auctioned for over $1 million USD.
