GIVĒON has dropped his first 2022 track, dubbed “Lie Again,” alongside an accompanying music video, directed by Adrian Martinez.
The visual sees the 27-year-old artist deliver his it’s-complicated lyrics while strolling through the streets of Los Angeles. “Don’t tell me baby, I’ve heard enough,” he sings. “I told you I don’t want the truth.” By the end of the track, which was produced by Don Mills, the vocalist appears to tease a future single while listening to the radio in a taxi.
“‘Lie Again’ is a story about the internal war with oneself, battling the acceptance of the ugly-truth, and the refusal to embrace the ghosts of your lover’s past,” GIVĒON said of the track in a statement. “Detailing the complexities of overlooking red flags to remain blissfully ignorant in the name of love.”
The track follows his last release, “For Tonight,” which arrived in September as the lead track from his forthcoming debut LP. A release date and title have not yet been announced for the upcoming project.
After performing on Coachella‘s main stage earlier this month, GIVĒON is now gearing up for a slew of tour dates across Europe in June.
