Model Gigi Hadid touched down in London to attend the British Vogue x Self-Portrait party and instantly wowed in a figure-hugging lime green midi dress. The 27-year-old was the VIP guest at the event, which took place in celeb hotspot Chiltern Firehouse, as she celebrated being the fashion label’s newest campaign star.
Hadid was a vision in the green number, which is from the Self-Portrait Resort 2023 collection that is not yet available. The slinky tube shape was offset by shoulder pads to create an ’80s-style power silhouette. Adorned with crystals that sparkled as they caught the light, the lime outfit was the height of dopamine dressing.
The green theme didn’t stop at her dress, either. Hadid added a lime microbag with bow, also by Self-Portrait, and a pair of grass green Christian Louboutin sandals. Hadid kept the look fresh by contrasting the bright colour of her outfit with orange tones in her makeup. With peachy eyeshadow and dewy skin, the model added a sweep of light brown lip gloss. Her blond hair was swept up in a bun, with front sections pulled out to give her overall a Y2K feel.
While Valentino pink and the Barbiecore trend might have been a fashion favourite of late, Hadid is making a serious case for lime green, or should we say avocado green as coined by fellow model Hailey Bieber after she dressed in the fruity hue for a recent wedding?
Joining Vogue Editor-in-chief Edward Enninful were Ellie Goulding in a black feathered jumpsuit, Georgia May Jagger wearing a Self-Portrait cut-out black dress, and Sabrina Elba, who opted for a chic Self-Portrait midi dress.
Ahead, see Hadid’s outfit that will make you green with envy, and other attendees who got glammed up for the London party.
