In a recent Entertainment Tonight interview, George Clooney has doubled down on never returning to play Batman ever again.
While speaking about his latest directorial effort, The Boys in the Boat, Clooney talked about the possibility of becoming Bruce Wayne again. He returned as Wayne in the final moments of The Flash, but it appears that that would be the last fans would ever see him get remotely close to Batman. He said in a very matter of a fact, “I do not think there’s enough drugs in the world for me to go back.” When asked about why he even decided to return as Bruce Wayne in The Flash, he said, “I thought there was such a clamor for me to come back as Batman, as you know. There was a clamor. Clooney sarcastically added, “I actually said, ‘Where are my rubber nipples?’ And they were like, ‘Can we do it without the rubber nipples?’ I was like, ‘Well, its not really my Batman, is it?’”
Clooney starred as the Dark Knight in the infamous 1997 sequel Batman & Robin. In another interview back in Variety in 2021, CLooney joked that the film was so bad he refused to even let his wife watch it, “There are certain films I just go, ‘I want my wife to have some respect for me.’”
