Galatasaray have made public their interest in signing Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Peter Etebo.
The club confirmed in a social media post on Tuesday that they have begun negotiations with Stoke City over the future of the player.
Etebo has agreed to terms with the former Turkish Super Lig champions and he’s expected to put pen to paper in the new few hours.
“Official negotiations with the football player and club Stoke City FC have started regarding the temporary transfer of professional footballer Oghenekaro Peter Etebo to our club,” the club tweeted.
Galatasaray is reportedly interested in signing Etebo on a season-long loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Etebo who is 24-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at LaLiga club Getafe and he’s not in the plan of Stoke City boss Michael O’Neil.
Etebo joined Stoke City from Portuguese Primeira Liga club CD Feirense in 2016.
