G2 Esports has unveiled the next step in its collaboration with luxury clothing brand Ralph Lauren–and its “first-of-its-kind” range may be one of the most impressive we’ve seen from the competitive gaming industry.
Ralph Lauren, which has been the “exclusive fashion outfitter” for G2 since 2021, has worked with the team to create a capsule collection that includes a wide range of unisex, casual clothing including T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies, tracksuits, and caps.
Each piece features the newly designed G2 x Ralph Lauren crest–a surprisingly subtle variation on a recognizable Ralph Lauren signature.
Both G2’s athletes and content creators will wear the collection, which will officially debut when G2’s League of Legends team competes in the LEC Summer Playoffs in Berlin on July 15.
Sabrina Ratih, chief operating officer of G2 Esports, said: “We are really excited to announce this collection with Ralph Lauren. At G2, partnerships are all about creating better experiences and offerings for the consumer, bringing fans closer to the brand, and attracting new audiences. This collaboration does all of that and more.”
G2’s partnership with Ralph Lauren was first unveiled back in June 2021 by then-CEO Carlos “ocelote” Rodriguez. At the time, he said: “Ralph Lauren has entered the world of gaming in partnership with G2, and nothing makes us happier and prouder than to be able to execute their strategy while doing our thing.”
It’s not the only wardrobe partnership G2 has engineered in 2023; in April, the organization unveiled its deal with DC Comics, which led to a capsule collection of Joker-themed jerseys. Away from clothing, G2 penned a deal with Jägermeister in May.
If you want to get the look, G2 Esports and Ralph Lauren’s collaboration will be available from July 15th at the G2 store.
