‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ Live-Action Sequels Receive New Special Trailer

‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ Live-Action Sequels Receive New Special Trailer

Following an announcement last month revealing plans for two new sequels to the Fullmetal Alchemist live-action adaptation in 2017, a new special trailer has been released giving a glimpse of what lies in store.

The sequels titled Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar and Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutation coincide with the 20th-anniversary celebration of Hiromu Arakawa‘s original manga and will feature the original cast from the first movie starring Ryosuke Yamada as Edward Elric and Atomu Mizuishi as his armored alchemist brother Alphonse. Fumihiko Sori will also return to direct the film.

The first live-action sequel will center around Edward’s fight against the character Scar, who seeks revenge against Alchemists working for the state military, and the second will focus on the final arc of the story.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar is set to premiere in theaters across Japan on May 20, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutation will air shortly after on June 24. Take a look at the trailer above, and stay tuned for more updates to come.
