MORGANTOWN — Pitt rolled out from the South Side this afternoon, and as of typing this, just rolled into the parking lot at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, W.Va.
It’s a large travel roster, one that includes the usual names at starting spots, but there are also a lot of freshmen who did make the travel roster, including Kenny Johnson, Montravius Lloyd, Izzy Polk, Jordan Bass, Rasheem Biles, Cruce Brookins, Braylan Lovelace, Lamar Seymore, Zion Fowler-El and Isaiah Neal.
The most surprising omission on the travel roster comes in the form of BJ Williams, a true freshman guard who started last week against Cincinnati. Which, of course, means there will be a new offensive line combo.
It’s a very, very big night under the lights on Mountaineer Field, and Pitt has a very, very big opportunity to either rise above .500 entering conference play or sputter into North Carolina with no momentum and the first sub-.500 record since 2020.
I’d imagine that the starting offense and defense will remain largely the same after last week, but as the coaching staff harped upon all week, it’s about communication and execution. Just do your job, Pat Narduzzi said Thursday at his weekly press conference.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and it promises to be a rowdy night for the first Brawl in Morgantown since 2011.
