'Friends' Cast Release Joint Statement Mourning Matthew Perry

The cast of Friends released a joint statement mourning the death of their friend and co-star, Matthew Perry.

“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer shared to PEOPLE. “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”

“In time we will say more, as and when we are able,” the statement continued. “For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

Perry, Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, LeBlanc and Schwimmer were all part of the ensemble cast during the show’s entirety, which ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004.  The late actor played Chandler Bing, the sarcastic data processor who becomes the love interest and eventual husband of Cox’s Monica Geller.
