Fred again.. teams up with Obongjayar for new single “adore u”: Stream

Fred again.. is already having a landmark year, and it’s only getting better. On Friday, August 11th, the English producer and DJ shared his latest single: a heartfelt collaboration with Obongjayar entitled “adore u.” Stream it below.

Soaring above a bed of bubbling synths, the throughline of “adore u” is the vocal refrain from Obongjayar, which is sampled from the Nigerian artist’s 2022 debut album, Some Nights I Dream of Doors. “When you pray, you’re answered/ You walk through life just like a dancer/ If I had my way everyday would be your parade,” Obongjayar sings, before delivering the song’s titular refrain, “I adore you.” All the while, Fred’s world-class production elevates the song with an air of infectious, dancy goodness.

The two debuted the song live together last weekend in Chicago, where Fred again.. delivered a memorable set at Lollapalooza 2023. Up next, Fred’s off to a few different runs of shows — next month, he’ll play four nights in London, before hopping around to select major European cities. Then, he’ll skip across the pond for three nights at Forest Hills Stadium in New York, and an eight-night run at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Check out the full list of dates below, and grab your tickets to his European shows here, and his American shows here.
