With Fortnite officially closing the book on Chapter 2, the Epic Games title has unveiled all the details for Chapter 3 Season 1.
The new chapter features a series of changes on the map, with locations like Greasy Grove and Logjam Lumberyard experiencing the cool temperatures brought upon by “a particularly cold winter.” Meanwhile, the other half of the map will enjoy warm weather, including areas like the Sanctuary — the home of “The Seven,” this season’s Battle Pass character lineup — and the web-covered Daily Bugle. Down south, a desert, with snowy decorations, houses Chonker’s Speedway, Condo Canyo and Butter Barn.
In addition to map changes, new weapons are being introduced: the Ranger Assault Rifle, MK-Seven Assault Rifle, Striker Pump Shotgun, Auto Shotgun, Sidearm Pistol, Stinger SMG and Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper. Gameplay also receives a minor tweak, with players now able to heal up using a Tent item. Duos, Trios and Squads can create set up, tear down and relocate campsites as well.
Meanwhile, this season’s Battle Pass unlockable characters include Spider-Man and his Web-Shooters, Shanta, Ronin, Lt. John Llama, Gumbo, Harlowe, Haven and The Foundation, the leader of The Seven modelled after Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
