‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’ Season 6 Trailer Charts the Road to the 2023 FIA World Championship

'Formula 1: Drive to Survive' Season 6 Trailer Charts the Road to the 2023 FIA World Championship

Netflix has revealed the official trailer for the sixth season of Formula 1: Drive to Survive, the streaming platform’s fan-favorite docuseries that takes viewers behind the scenes for a closer look at one of the world’s highest-class racing competitions.

The upcoming season will chart the road to the 2023 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, chronicling all of the updated team rosters, management changes, strong camaraderies and fierce rivalries that contributed to last year’s high-octane season.

In 10 episodes, the series will cover a number of headline-making plot lines, including Daniel Ricciardo’s grand return to the track with AlphaTauri, the first-ever Las Vegas Grand Prix and the decision-making process behind Lewis Hamilton’s eventual departure from Mercedes-AMG. The season will also follow Nyck de Vries first go at Formula 1 with AlphaTauri, and the team’s termination of his contract after only ten races.

Notably, Ryan Reynolds, who was among a group of big-walleted investors who put €200 million EUR into French Formula 1 team Alpine last year, will appear in the show’s next season. Toward the end of the trailer, squad driver Esteban Ocon tells the actor that he will be included in the docuseries, to which Reynolds responds, “Finally!”

Formula 1: Drive to Survive is set to release on Netflix on February 23. Watch the trailer above.
