Former Grand Theft Auto producer Leslie Benzies has now offered a first look at his studio Build a Rocket Boy‘s latest project
“Everywhere” during Gamescom. The game was originally announced back in 2020 and attracted $41 million USD in funding at the time. Since then, not much has been revealed about Everywhere, but gamers have now been offered a first-look teaser over at Gamescom.
While the clip itself is relatively short, it does showcase the reach and expansiveness of the title, which covers numerous different environments, biomes and worlds. There’s also a brief look at its gameplay which involves a third-party shooter experience largely reminiscent of Fortnite before the trailer cuts to more refined cinematic scenes, suggesting there’ll also be a campaign mode aside from just online multiplayer. As Benzies explains, the core idea of Everywhere is for players to build the worlds and maps that they want to play in. “We want the community to build this. We want it to be their world,” the producer remarked. “We want them to tell their stories in our game.”
Unfortunately, other details remain scarce for the time being and no release date has been announced yet before a 2023 window, so those interested should be on the lookout for more updates to come.
