The BMW E30 3-series, particularly in M3 form, is one of the German marque’s most sought-after classics, but if you don’t have M3 money do not fear as you can still get a rare slice of history in the form of this 325i Hartge H26 that’s currently at auction with Bring a Trailer.
This “Alpine White” example has been given the full Hartge treatment, sporting a light body kit rework all around that’s adorned with branded graphic stripes, badging on the front grille and rear end — where the BMW roundel has also been altered accordingly — and a new exhaust system courtesy once more of Hartge. A new set of 16″ 11-spoke rims in silver sit on the car, while a small spoiler at the rear rounds off the aesthetic touches.
Everything about this car is quintessentially ’80s, especially inside. Here, you’ll find a gray houndstooth cloth interior decorating the seats alongside black trims, with amenities such as air conditioning, power windows, a Sony CD stereo, and an analog clock appearing inside too.
Completing the car is its 2.5-liter inline-six engine that’s recently been overhauled with new components. This 1987 BMW 325i Hartge H26 five-speed is currently at auction with two days of bidding left, sitting at $29,000 USD at the time of writing.
