Apple TV+ has officially renewed its alternate reality sci-fi thriller, For All Mankind, for a fifth season. What’s more, a spinoff series called Star City, based on the Soviet space program, is also in the works.
For All Mankind co-creators Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi will serve as showrunners for Star City, which is billed as a “propulsive paranoid thriller that takes us back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race – when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon.”
The series will “explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humanity forward.”

All four previous seasons of For All Mankind are currently streaming on Apple TV+. At least for my money, it’s the best streaming platform out there.
