Flume has dropped off a new music video for his latest track “Say Nothing” featuring MAY-A, which arrives as the lead single from the Australian electronic artist’s forthcoming third album, Palaces.
The visual sees Flume donning a bleach-blonde hairstyle and posing on motorcycles, while MAY-A becomes submerged in black sand between several psychedelic shots. “Say Nothing” marks Flume’s first release since Quits and Hi This Is Flume, both of which debuted in 2019.
“This song is about feelings of post-relationship clarity,” Flume said in a statement. “We wrote the song midway through 2020 while the pandemic was still pretty new. I was really excited about the initial idea but it was only once I got back to Australia in early 2021 and linked up in the studio with MAY-A that the song really came to life.”
“Working with Flume on ‘Say Nothing’ has been a really incredible experience,” MAY-A said. “I’m such a big fan of Harley’s so it’s unbelievable to be in a position to create music with someone I look up to and can learn so much from. His creative process is a really inspiring thing to be a part of. I’m so excited for everyone to hear the song!”
Palace is scheduled to debut on May 20 via Future Classic and Transgressive. Watch Flume’s “Say Nothing” video above.
In case you missed it, Juice WRLD’s “Go Hard 2.0” and new track “Cigarettes” have received music videos.
