Florence + The Machine Announces Fall North American Tour

Florence + The Machine Announces Fall North American Tour

Florence + The Machine will support their recently announced new album, Dance Fever, with a fall North American tour beginning Sept. 2 in Montreal. Arlo Parks, Sam Fender, King Princess, Yves Tumor, Japanese Breakfast and Wet Leg will support on various dates, and one dollar from every ticket sold will benefit Choose Love in its mission to aid refugees worldwide.

Before the proper tour, Florence + The Machine will play what are being billed as “special, intimate shows” on April 29 in Los Angeles and May 6 in New York. Both are already sold out. For full dates and on-sale information, visit the group’s Web site.

As previously reported, Dance Fever is due May 13 and was produced by frontman Florence Welch, Jack Antonoff, and Dave Bayley of Glass Animals.

The album was recorded in London during the pandemic, and it conjures the freedoms that Welch missed most during lockdown and her hope for a return to normalcy. Its tracks nod to dance, folk, and ’70s Iggy Pop, while Welch describes it as “Nick Cave at the club.”
