HBO Max on Tuesday shared a first-look visual at Peacemaker, the highly anticipated spin-off series to James Gunn‘s The Suicide Squad.
Peacemaker stars John Cena as the titular character, a merciless costumed killer who makes it his duty to achieve peace at all costs. The Gunn-directed series, which marks the first title in the DC Extended Universe, centers on Cena’s Christopher “Peacemaker” Smith, who is informed that a superhero named Peacemaker does not exist in the events following The Suicide Squad.
Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma and Chukwudi Iwuji also star in the spin-off show.
He’s got the looks, the car, and the best sidekick ever — all in the name of peace.

HBO Max shared the full clip during a virtual event to promote the upcoming European launches on the streaming platform. HBO Max will become available in 27 European territories beginning later this month.
