Finneas will be releasing the follow-up to his debut album, Optimist. The new project is called For Cryin’ Out Loud! and is slated to release on October 4.
While Optimist featured instrumentals composed and performed solely by Finneas, For Cryin’ Out Loud! sees the artist embrace collaboration. During the recording process, he was joined in the studio by a full band, though the LP is still self-produced.
Finneas recorded the album entirely in Los Angeles, working with many of his close friends across a series of live studio sessions.
Earlier this year, Finneas helmed production for his sister Billie Eilish’s landmark third album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT. He also took home a Grammy for his work on her hit single and Barbie movie cut, “What Was I Made For.”
In tandem with announcing the new album, Finneas has shared its title track.
