Final ‘Pokémon Scarlet’ and ‘Violet’ Trailer Shows off the Paldea Region

Final ‘Pokémon Scarlet’ and ‘Violet’ Trailer Shows off the Paldea Region

With November well underway, the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has nearly arrived. Following months of teasers, trailers and information about the games, the Pokémon Company has released its final trailer for the upcoming titles. Mostly serving as a recap, key additional information was shared via the game’s official website.

Ed Sheeran’s Pokémon-themed track “Celestial” serves as background music as the trailer explores the Paldea region, showcasing new characters, Pokémon, features and more. While new content was sparse, the reveal of two new Donphan forms, stemming from the future and past, has fans excited. Referred to as “The Monster Known as Great Tusk” and “The Monster Known as Iron Treads,” these forms are exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet respectively. The former sees Donphan as a mammoth-like creature while the latter bears a more robotic style. Outside of the trailer, notable headlines include Pokémon HOME bringing Pokémon from previous games, including Hisuian forms, to these games starting in the spring and the reveal of Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles. A rotating event format, Black Crystal Tera Raid Battles begin with a special Charizard, a Pokémon not naturally found in the game’s region, with Dragon as its Tera Type.

Check out the the trailer above as Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet’s release date of November 18 on the Nintendo Switch continues to near. To prepare for launch, both games are available for pre-order via Nintendo and retailers worldwide at a price of $60 USD.

For more gaming news, the much-anticipated Blizzard title Diablo IV is rumored to be landing on shelves in April of 2023.
