Fender has just announced the launch of its all-new Vintera II series, the latest addition to the brand’s internationally-known portfolio of electric guitars.
The new line of vibrantly-designed guitars pays homage to Fender’s classic Strat and Tele guitars from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, while simultaneously nodding to some of the rare models that have been previously included in the Fender line-up such as the Mustang and Bass VI.
In celebration of the new series, Fender has just revealed its latest campaign that captures the “nostalgic style and sound of the golden age.” The new line of guitars take on a vintage-inspired aesthetic, while also coming alongside a new roster of rock musicians such as Thurston Moore and The Revolution’s Wendy Melvoin, as well as indie act Snail Mail and Grammy-winner Madison Cunningham.
With this in mind, Fender’s Vintera II Series offers era-correct neck shapes that deliver a worn-in, super-comfortable feel, reflecting Fender’s most classic neck designs for an exceptional playing experience. Additionally, new vintage-voiced pickups allow players to capture the authentic sound of bygone eras, while the line’s custom color schemes produce some of Fender’s most vibrant approaches to guitar design in recent years.
Highlights from the collection come in the form of the Vintera II ‘50s Stratocaster, which features an alder body and a maple neck for additional punch and clarity. The soft “V-Shape” neck gives the guitar a comfortable grip, while the 7.25” radius fingerboard with vintage-tall frets provides comfort with ample room for big bends and expressive vibrato. ‘50s pickups can be found under the hood, alongside a synchronized tremolo to allow players to dive and wail.
