Faye Webster Presents ‘Underdressed at the Symphony’

Faye Webster Presents 'Underdressed at the Symphony'

Faye Webster has delivered her highly anticipated fifth EP. Spanning 10 tracks, Underdressed at the Symphony is a masterful menagerie of Webster’s relatable wit and vulnerability strung together by her atmospheric instrumental interludes and dreamy production.

Arriving three years after her third album I Know I’m Funny haha, the record is drowned in a calming blue colorway that carries across most of the album’s aspects – merchandise, cover art, tour announcements, and, the vibe itself. It’s a refreshing listen.

Webster previewed the LP with an impressive run of singles that, when combined, perfectly embodies her sonic versatility. First came the punchy “But Not Kiss” over the summer, which was followed up by nostalgic “Lifetime” to close out the summer season; both tracks came with visuals directed by Webster’s longtime “homie,” Brain Dead‘s Kyle Ng. Revisit Webster and Ng’s full conversation about the tracks’ visuals.

“Lego Ring” arrived as the third single which sees the songstress link up with another good friend of hers, Lil Yachty. “Feeling Good Today,” which Webster deems her favorite track from the project, was the fourth and final single. When intermingled within the six new tracks Webster unveiled today, the 10-track project clocks in at just over 36 minutes and will likely be your calmest half hour of the day.
