Faye Webster Is “Feeling Good Today” for Many Reasons

Faye Webster Is "Feeling Good Today" for Many Reasons

Faye Webster is again reminding us she’s one of the most relatable lyricists in the game. Be it translating our innermost emotions or, in this case, reflecting on the day-to-day mundanity, Webster knows how we feel. In “Feeling Good Today,” the songstress experiments with a Vocoder for the first time to recount recent little wins in life.

“I’m feeling good today / I ate before noon / I think that’s pretty good for me,” she opens on the first verse with Vocoder-infused vocals.

“I got paid yesterday / I’ll probably buy something dumb / Because I am pretty childish / But all my friends are the same / Just find us something to do / Find a new hobby just to ditch it”

The track comes complete with a music video that evokes that of the “Lifetime” video. Shot by Pooneh Ghana, the feel-good visual stars 76-year-old TikToker Lili Hayes, who rocks a mask of Webster’s face as she goes about her day. Check it out in the gallery above.

“Feeling Good Today” – what Webster calls her “favorite song off the record” – arrives as the fourth single lifted from her imminent EP Underdressed at the Symphony. Previously released tracks include “But Not Kiss,” “Lifetime” and “Lego Ring” which features Lil Yachty.

Stream “Feeling Good Today” on Spotify and Apple Music now and keep an eye out for Underdressed at the Symphony, which drops on Friday, March 1.
