F9 marked a momentous reunion for Sung Kang‘s Han, who came back from the dead to join Vin Diesel and his other old crewmates, but with Fast X currently in production, another reunion is now in store for the beloved character. Sharing the sentimental news over on Instagram, Sung posted side-by-side photos of himself standing by the iconic yellow and black Mazda RX-7 FD he first drove in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
As most fans would remember, it was the very vehicle that Han met what the audience believed to be his fateful death in the 2006 film in a fiery crash. Returning to the franchise years later, it turns out that Han’s death was planned and faked by Kurt Russell’s Mr. Nobody, subsequently allowing him to link up with his old crew once again.
“Good to see you old friend…,” Sung wrote on Instagram. “Can’t believe it’s been 16 years since we’ve seen each other. You’ve aged well,”
