Chemtrails Over the Country Club was originally scheduled for release on Sept. 5, but Del Rey told fans recently that because of the lengthy vinyl-making process, the set will likely arrive in early January. It follows 2019’s Norman F—ing Rockwell, her sixth studio album, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
Del Rey recently released her Violet Bent Backwards Over the Grass poem collection via Simon & Schuster.
Placing second on the poll was Bieber and Blanco’s “Lonely,” which accounted for 21 percent of the vote. The poignant new collaboration somberly revisits the darker twists and turns along Bieber’s path to childhood stardom.
Super-producer Blanco previously worked with Bieber on the 2015 hit “Love Yourself,” from the singer’s fourth album, Purpose. “Lonely” follows Bieber’s previously released single “Holy,” featuring Chance the Rapper. Bieber performed both songs with his collaborators on Saturday Night Live Oct. 17.
Coming in third on the tally was the “other” category with 2 percent of the vote, followed by Lovato’s “Commander in Chief” (1.7 percent) in fourth.
