Fans Can Now Watch Live Matches for Free on New Streaming Service FIFA+

FIFA has launched its free streaming platform, FIFA+, offering a blend of live domestic league games, original content and archived footage. Debuting on Tuesday, FIFA recognized itself as “the first sports federation ever to offer such an extensive streaming and content experience to its fans.”

Fans will have access to over 29,000 men’s matches and over 11,000 women’s matches, equating to over 40,000 matches in total. They’ll also be able to tap into interactive games, news and tournament information.

In addition to Europe’s league, streamed matches will include previously unserved competitions globally in men’s, women’s and youth football. Over 1,400 matches will be live-streamed monthly.

Original content will comprise titles such as the feature-length documentary Ronaldinho: The Happiest Man in the World, a docuseries following team captains as they lead their countries through qualification and more.

“FIFA+ represents the next step in our vision to make football truly global and inclusive, and it underpins FIFA’s core mission of expanding and developing football globally,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said.

“This project represents a cultural shift in the way different types of football fans want to connect with and explore the global game and has been a fundamental part of my Vision 2020-2023. It will accelerate the democratization of football and we are delighted to share it with fans.”

In other sports news, Tom Brady reportedly only returned to the Bucs After a Miami Dolphins deal fell through.
