Exclusive Look at Leica China’s MEDICOM TOY BE@RBRICK “M” Collaboration

MEDICOM TOY has been really pushing the tempo throughout the Summer season in terms of rolling out its collaborations. And after linking up with the MoMA Design Store to recreate the famous “Starry Night” painting in toy form and partnering with PANGAIA for a cozy apparel collection, it’s joining hands with Leica China for a striking BE@RBRICK capsule. This marks Leica‘s first-ever crossover collaboration in the realm of art and toys.

As shown via the exclusive imagery up above, the collaboration draws inspiration from the Leica M system camera. The head and the arms are dyed with a metallic silver finish, while the figure’s abdominal section is designed to mimic the aesthetic of the camera’s lenses and flash windows. A bold red Leica emblem is stamped just below the neck while a majority of the legs are filled in with black and the feet color-blocking with more silver. If you flip over to the backside, you’ll notice that various buttons such as “Play, “Menu” “LV” along with directional arrows are printed out to translate the camera’s user interface.

The Leica x MEDICOM TOY BE@RBRICK “M” will be available in 1000%, 400% and 100% sizes, in Hong Kong come August 21. The 1000% size is priced at HKD 6,880, while the 400% and 100% sets will retail for HKD 3,480.

In case you missed it, you can now sign up to try out Razer’s latest futuristic face mask.
