Everton have been linked with a move for the Dutch international Denzel Dumfries for weeks now and it seems that the Premier League side are now in talks with his agent Mino Raiola regarding a summer move.
The 25-year-old right-back did well in the European Championships with this country and he could prove to be the ideal long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman.
The right-back position needs strengthening this summer and it remains to be seen whether the Toffees can convince PSV Eindhoven to sell the defender to them.
They are not the only club looking to sign Dumfries this summer and Italian champions Inter Milan are in talks with the player’s agent as well (via Sportwitness).
The 25-year-old right-back is a reliable defender and he can chip in with vital goals as well.
The Toffees must look to add quality and depth to their defence if they want to push for European qualification next season.
They should look to bring in a quality center back as well along with a full back.
It will be interesting to see if Everton can fend off the competition from inter and secure the 25 year old’s signature in the coming weeks.
The Italian outfit are likely to be a more attractive proposition for Dumfries and they will be able to offer him Champions League football as well.
