We’re only just getting over the glamour of the Venice Film Festival, but all eyes are already on the red carpet overseas. Emma Corrin stepped out at the Toronto Film Festival on 11 Sept. wearing a showstopping look as they promoted their upcoming film “My Policeman” alongside costar Harry Styles. The British actor wore a black high-cut bodysuit, custom made by Miu Miu, with cold shoulder detailing, blouson sleeves, and a dramatic train. They teamed the bodysuit with sheer black tights and black patent court shoes.
Corrin, who also has a close connection to the royal family after playing Princess Diana in series four of “The Crown“, undoubtedly turned heads in the bodysuit as their streamlined outfit was chic and edgy in equal measure. Their sheer tights also revealed an angel tattoo on their right thigh. The black outfit was offset by their bleach blonde pixie cut, Cartier dangling earrings, lined eye makeup with green-tinted iridescent eye cream on their lids and across the bridge of their nose. Their beauty look was finished with a beauty mark on their right cheek.
Corrin certainly made an entrance at the premiere as they walked on stage with the billowing fabric trailing behind them. And who was at the end of the train? None other than Styles who followed holding their cape. The two even share stylist Harry Lambert, so it appears their style needs were also in sync. Styles arrived wearing a green Gucci suit with lime trousers and a deeper green double-breasted blazer with a large flower on his lapel. He carried a bamboo top handle bag.
Styles seemingly put the drama surrounding his other film “Don’t Worry Darling” and that viral clip of him allegedly spitting on Chris Pine to one side as he explained the premise of “My Policeman” in a press conference earlier in the day. Styles plays Tom, who is gay, but married to Marion (Corrin), yet explores a romance with Patrick (David Dewson). “For me, the reason why the story is so devastating is that, ultimately, the whole story is about wasted time, and I think wasted time is the most devastating thing because it’s the one thing we cannot control,” Styles said of the movie.
The cast went onto win the 2022 TIFF Tribute Award for Performance, which is the first time the award has gone to an ensemble, rather than an individual actor. There has been a history of the award being won by future Oscar winners and nominees, such as Jessica Chastain, Joaquin Phoenix, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
“My Policeman” will be released in cinemas on 21 October and on Amazon Prime from 4 Nov.
