Just a couple days ahead of the release of Eminem‘s 12th studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), the rapper aka Marshall Mathers, posted to his social media, the official album cover, giving fans a tease just before the big drop.
Set to release this Friday, the album is Eminem’s fourth studio album in over four years. Widely known as his alter ego, Slim Shady, the album appears to be the rapper’s final project before retiring the image. Synonymous with his bleached blonde buzzcut look and oversized white t-shirt and baggy jeans, the album is highly anticipated by fans and critics alike. His long-time mentor and collaborator Dr. Dre revealed recently that he was working on the album with Eminem and confirmed the release for this year. So far, Eminem has dropped two singles, “Houdini” which saw a cameo from David Blaine in the music video. Earlier this month, Eminem dropped “Tobey” off the album featuring BabyTron and Big Sean.
Now that the wait is almost over, fans are getting closer and closer to the final product. Due to Apple Music‘s listing of the album, fans now know that the album features 19 tracks. However, it does not seem to include any other collaborators, though some are speculating a surprise of them when it releases. The album will include the sequel to “Guilty Conscience” and fans are hoping for a feature from Dr. Dre. Take a look at the official album cover and tracklist below.
