SNL cast member Kate McKinnon appears in the sketch as Dido, who delivered the iconic hook on the original song. “He can’t buy it himself because he lost his job because he was stealing from his boss,” McKinnon’s Dido sings in the parody.
SNL‘s Bowen Yang also appears in “Stu,” hilariously portraying a piano-playing Elton John, who famously performed alongside Eminem at the Grammy Awards in 2001.
The darkly comical skit ends with grainy video footage of Slim Shady himself kneeling by a decorated Christmas tree and opening up an unexpected gift from Santa. “To Shady, from Santa. That’s crazy, a PS5? I didn’t even ask for this,” Eminem says. “I guess Shady must’ve been a good boy this year. Sorry, Stu, you f—d up.”
