Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg would no doubt be the bout of the century — that no one asked for but everyone would want to see. The two sides have technically agreed to a cage match in a Twitter exchange and the world anxiously waits for a formal announcement to dispel the countless reasons why the event wouldn’t make sense.
To add fuel to the fire, both Musk and Zuckerberg have been seen training on the mats with American computer scientist, podcast host, and BJJ black belt Lex Fridman in the same week. Zuckerberg is clearly the more experienced of the two. He’s said to have trained MMA for the past 18 months and recently won a jiu-jitsu tournament. Musk on the hand, has a significant height and weight advantage, standing at 6’1 (Zuckerberg is around 5’7). Just the idea of it has promoters such as Dana White salivating with the event poised to be the biggest pay-per-view event ever. If it does happen, the match will likely be set far in the future to allow Musk to catch up on training and be billed as a charity event.
“I did an impromptu training session with @elonmusk for a few hours yesterday. I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power, and skill, on the feet and on the ground. It was epic. It’s really inspiring to see Elon and Mark doing martial arts, but I think the world is served far better if they train martial arts but not fight in the cage. That said, as Elon says, the most entertaining outcome is the most likely… I’m there for them, no matter what,” says Fridman,
