Luxury fashion house Christian Dior has assembled its own “Dream Team” in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which includes the fastest woman alive Elaine Thompson-Herah.
The five-time Jamaican Olympic gold medalist is currently gearing up to defend her Olympic title this summer. Her first race of the season will be this weekend’s Prefontaine Classic, in a 100-meter showdown against Sha’Carri Richardson.
Thompson-Herah’s partnership with Dior marks a significant milestone in her career. It is her first partnership with a global fashion house, and she is the only Caribbean athlete named as an ambassador.
Thompson-Herah also has deals with Puma and Caribbean telecommunications company Flow.
Elaine Thompson-Herah’s extraordinary journey to becoming the fastest woman in the world is marked by her remarkable achievements on the track. She first gained international prominence at the 2016 Rio Olympics, where she won gold in both the 100 meters and 200 meters, becoming the first woman since Florence Griffith-Joyner in 1988 to achieve this double victory. Her dominance continued at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she repeated her 100-meter and 200-meter golds, setting an Olympic record of 10.61 seconds in the 100 meters, solidifying her status as a sprinting legend.

Other ambassadors from various sports
Joining Thompson-Herah in this star-studded team is U.S. soccer star Alex Morgan, an Olympic gold medalist and two-time World Cup champion, expected to return to the pitch after an ankle injury. Hawaiian surfer Carissa Moore, who won the first Olympic gold in women’s shortboard surfing at the Tokyo 2020 Games, is also on the list. The team further includes swimmer Emma McKeon, Australia’s most decorated Olympian with 11 medals, and Japanese fencer Misaki Emura.
Italy is well-represented by fencers Rossella Fiamingo, Alice Volpi, and Arianna Errigo, along with Paralympic fencers Beatrice “Bebe” Vio Grandis, Andreea Mogos, and Loredana Trigilia. From France, the team features boxer Estelle Mossely, skateboarder Louise-Aina Taboulet, fencer Sara Balzer, and judoka Clarisse Agbégnénou, aiming for her second Olympic gold after her win at the Tokyo Games.
Previously, Dior and its parent company, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, introduced three joint ambassadors: gymnast Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos, wheelchair tennis player Pauline Déroulède, and Para-cyclist Marie Patouillet. These athletes were among those who carried the Olympic torch on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival.

In celebration of these extraordinary athletes, a series of portraits will be displayed at Le Café Dior in La Galerie Dior at the brand’s historic flagship in Paris from July 24 to September 9.
“The exhibition is a celebration of surpassing performance and an invitation to continually push the boundaries of creativity in the name of passion and freedom,” Dior stated.
