Dwayne Johnson took to social media on Friday to share that Black Adam, which has officially wrapped production, was the most difficult movie he has made to date — and looking at his sprawling repertoire of action-packed films, which includes the Fast & Furious franchise, Skyscraper, San Andreas and many more, that statement seriously holds a lot of weight.
“Incredible journey,” Johnson wrote on Twitter. “Hardest undertaking of my entire career physically [and] mentally. Worth every second. Boundless gratitude to my 1,000+ crew members, actors and director, Jaume Collet-Serra. The hierarchy of power in DC Universe is changing.”
That a wrap on BLACK ADAM⚡️
Incredible journey.
Hardest undertaking of my entire career physically & mentally.
Worth every second.
Boundless gratitude to my 1,000+ crew members, actors and director, Jaume Collet-Serra.
The hierarchy of power in DC Universe is changing.

Johnson made the claim in a Quote Tweet to a Black Adam fan account that posted a video of the actor expressing gratitude to the film crew and his excitement for the film’s 2022 release on the final day of shooting.
Noah Centineo, Aldis Hodge, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell and Pierce Brosnan also star alongside Johnson in the upcoming New Line/DC film. Dany and Hiram Garcia of Seven Bucks Productions receive producing credits with Beau Flynn of FlynnPictureCo, while Scott Sheldon is executive producing the flick.
Black Adam is slated to premiere in theaters on July 29, 2022.
