As submissions for the 2022 GRAMMY Awards officially open, Drake has supposedly submitted Certified Lover Boy and a few of its tracks for consideration.
According to reports, Drizzy only submitted his material to one of the big four categories — Certified Lover Boy for Album of the Year. Variety notes that the OVO head and his team have been “highly selective, for whatever reason” this year, adding that he also submitted “Way 2 Sexy” with Future for Best Rap Performance, “Girls Want Girls” for Best Melodic Rap Performance and “No Friends in the Industry” for Best Rap Song.
In addition to submitting music as a solo artist, Drake could also be nominated as a guest artist and/or co-writer for tracks like “Outta Time” by Bryson Tiller, which was submitted for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song, “Wasting Time” by Brent Faiyaz which was submitted for Best R&B Song, Yung Bleu’s “You’re Mines Still” which was submitted for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song and 21 Savage and Metro Boomin‘s “Mr. Right Now,” which was submitted for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Rap Song.
Stay tuned for the official GRAMMY nominations.
