Drake and Morgan Wallen Grab Dinner, Get Blown Up in ‘You Broke My Heart’ Video

Drake and Morgan Wallen Grab Dinner, Get Blown Up in 'You Broke My Heart' Video

It was, indeed, their last night

Drake and Morgan Wallen enjoy a meal together before getting their just desserts in the new music video for “You Broke My Heart.”

The clip, directed by Theo Skudra, opens with the fellas finishing dinner at a fancy restaurant, gossiping over doomed relationships and not-so-broken hearts. “I think she might’ve been the wrong girl anyway,” Wallen sagely (?) tells Drake before the two set their sights on the night ahead and all the other fish in the sea.

The camera then follows Drake and Wallen as they walk to their car, get in, and start to drive away. At that point, two women (Grace Matthews and Taylor Morris) enter the frame and detonate a bomb that blows the car containing the two superstars to smithereens. The two women celebrate the execution of their plot by dancing and singing along to “You Broke My Heart,” refusing to stop the reverie even as the cops finally show up.

“You Broke My Heart” appears on Drake’s latest album, For All the Dogs, which was released in October (and just appeared on Rolling Stone’s list of the 10 Best Rap Albums of 2023). The album followed his 2022 solo release, Honestly, Nevermind, as well as his collaborative album with 21 Savage, Her Loss, which was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2024 Grammys. A month after the release of For All the Dogs, Drake dropped the third installment in his ongoing Scary Hours EP series.

Drake also spent a good chunk of 2023 on the road, and he’s already got a bunch of dates lined up for 2024 alongside J. Cole and 21 Savage. The “It’s All a Blur – Big as the What?” trek is scheduled to kick off on Jan. 18 in Denver and wrap on March 27 in Birmingham, Alabama.
