FLORENCE, SC (WPDE) — Approximately 50,000 attended the 19th annual Pecan Music and Food Festival in downtown Florence on Saturday.
The award-winning festival had over fifty vendors, sweet treats, and games for people to enjoy.
The Pecan Festival has been featured in Like Travel and Leisure Magazine Online and AAA’s Go Magazine.
People were able to show off the unique antique cars in this year’s car show while listening to a live band.
Festivalgoer Maggy Johnson traveled from Alabama and hasn’t been to Florence in years, she said it has grown tremendously.

“The food and all of the shops, of course, I bought a few items of jewelry and a purse, but everything is so fantastic,” Johnson said.
Businesses such as the Goldstar Urgent Care and Sweet Spice Caribbean Restaurant had tents and food trucks along Dargan Street.
Jamaica Native Donovan Smith’s Caribbean restaurant is located in Savannah Georgia.
He said he’s trying to grow his following by taking part in the food truck rodeo at the Florence Center.
“So happy to be out here sharing our delicious food with people in Florence. We traveled all the way from Savannah Georgia where we have our main location. We offer Caribbean food, ox tails, curry, chicken, jerk chicken, and rice and peas and cabbage, plantains, and macaroni and cheese,” Smith said.
Folks also had a chance to take part in a Christian worship service for people to sing, pray, and dance.
The festival had free admission and shuttle service to help people get around.
