Donald Glover has revealed that he may reprise his role as Lando Calrissian in a future Star Wars project.
The actor and musician revealed the news in a recent interview with GQ, where he broke down some of his most memorable roles. “I would love to play Lando again. It’s a fun time to be him. It just needs to be the right way to do it,” Glover said of the character. “We’re talking about it. That’s as much as I can say without [Lucasfilm president] Kathleen Kennedy hunting me down.”
It remains unclear whether the discussions taking place are about the Lando Disney+ series that was originally announced in 2020; it was also unconfirmed whether Glover was reprising his role for the show. No major updates have been shared as of writing.
Glover portrayed a young Lando in 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, where he starred alongside Alden Ehrenreich stars as Solo, with Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandiwe Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo and Paul Bettany.
