Nigerian superstar singer, Davido, has revealed that Mavin Records music executive, Don Jazzy, was his mentor.

During an exclusive interview with YouTuber, Tayo Aina, Davido shared how, when he began his career as a young boy, Don Jazzy was his mentor.

Describing their first encounter, Davido noted that it was an extraordinary experience, comparing it to encountering Jesus.

According to him, it took courage to stand in his presence during their initial meeting.

“Don Jazzy was my mentor. I remember the first time I saw him, it felt like I was looking at Jesus. It was truly amazing.” Davido revealed.

Meanwhile, in response to the interview, Don Jazzy expressed his admiration for Davido’s accomplishments.

He further commended Davido’s unwavering work ethic, which continues to inspire him despite the singer’s immense success and wealth.

Taking to his Instagram page, Don Jazzy shared an excerpt from the interview and expressed his pride in Davido’s achievements.

“And that’s how life is, @davido. Now I look at all you have achieved, and I am super proud of you. Even with all that success and wealth, I look at your work ethic, and I am highly motivated. I’m glad that as a mentor, I haven’t let you down too. We thank GOD. More blessings, bro.” He wrote.
