After four years since its first teaser, Walt Disney World Resort has finally announced the opening date for its highly anticipated Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel, with plans to open bookings later this month.
The new experience will come as a two-night stay at a hotel simulating a massive starship environment where you’ll find plenty of characters from the epic franchise dotted across its numerous attractions and activities, including lightsaber training sessions, drinks at the Sublight Lounge, droid racing, and building model spaceships. All packages also include access to the Galaxy’s Edge theme park so you can enjoy your daytime there.
“Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a first-of-its-kind vacation experience that goes beyond anything Disney has created before,” a statement from the company promises. “You’ll become the hero of your own Star Wars story during this two-night adventure, traveling the galaxy in style aboard the Halcyon starcruiser and eventually making your way to the Outer Rim for a planetside excursion to Batuu. You choose how to make your way in the galaxy – maybe as a member of the Resistance, or by learning the ancient ways of the Jedi lightsaber. Maybe you prefer loyalty to the First Order or the excitement of living life like a smuggler? The decisions are up to you.”
For the Star Wars fans, Disney World’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will open its doors on March 1, 2022, with bookings opening on October 28. Prices will range from $4,810 USD for two to $6,000 USD for a group of four.
