Disney has officially dropped the first look at the teaser for the upcoming Lilo & Stitch live-action.
Bringing the nostalgic and adorable blue extraterrestrial creature to the big screens, the 30-second teaser sees a glimpse of the Hawaiian coastline that acts as the setting for the film. He can be seen terrorizing a sandcastle. The official logline reads that the film will see “the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who is engineered to be a force of destruction.”
Dean Fleischer Camp is set to direct the film and Chris Sanders is slated to reprise his voice role of Stitch. The cast includes Maia Kealoho, Zach Galifianakis, Sydney Agudong, Billy Magnussen and Courtney B. Vance are joining the cast. The live-action is released 23 years after the first film which grossed $273 million USD globally. The storyline folows six-year-old Lilo and her teenage sister Nani who live in Hawaii. They adopt a genetically engineered “dog” aka Experiment 626 (Stitch). In recent years Lilo & Stitch had many spin-offs for both TV and film.
The live-action drops on May 23, 2025.
