Once Star Wars and Disney+ started to notice the overwhelming love it was receiving for The Mandalorian, it decided to amplify the famed franchise’s catalog with other sub-series. In 2022, Disney+ and Lucasfilm announced that it would be creating a whole new TV series for Ahsoka who is played by Rosario Dawson, and its first official trailer has finally arrived.
The show will follow along the journey of Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. The trailer shows scenes from her getting attacked in a mystic Jedi site, Sabine Wren and her lothcat meditating and Hera Syndulla in a shootout battle. Ahsoka is seen having a conversation with a fleet of officials that includes Mon Mothma played by Genevieve O’Reilly and to warn them of the dangers that are ahead “I started hearing whispers about Thrawn’s return as heir to the empire,” she says as footage of the Thrawn’s back is shown. Additionally, there are a plethora of space battles and lightsaber duels to be seen in the series much like we’ve seen in The Mandalorian.
Check out the full trailer above and expect Ahsoka to hit Disney+ this August.
