It was revealed earlier last month that Netflix will no longer stream Marvel‘s live-action series on its platform beginning on March 1, and those shows, including Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Defenders, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D, and The Punisher will be migrating to Disney+.
While it was previously announced that those shows would initially only be made available for Canada, a new update reveals that Disney+ will make the content accessible for United States viewers starting March 16, joining its current Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye Marvel live-action series.
With the new additions, Disney+ rolls out new parental controls that include password-protected profiles, “Kid-Proof Exit” questions, and content restriction capabilities. Profiles default to TV-14 content and a switch over to TV-MA will give access to the new shows aimed at more mature audiences.
“We have experienced great success with an expanded content offering on Disney+ across our global markets and are excited to continue that here in the U.S. as well by offering our consumers not only great content with the new Marvel additions, but also a set of features that help ensure a viewing experience most suitable for them and their family,” said the president of Disney Streaming, Michael Paull.
Look for the Marvel shows to become available in the U.S. and other markets later this month.
