It’s been more than a year since PlayStation users have been able to enjoy group voice chats on Discord, but luckily for on Microsoft‘s systems, the app is now finally coming to the Xbox family. The feature will be supported on all three current consoles, including the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Those of you who are Xbox Insiders will get to access it starting today, while the rest will be able to use it “in the coming weeks.” With proper integration, you’ll also be able to hop into the same voice chat as your friends who are on PC or mobile while being on your Xbox. Enabling the feature is simple: all you have to do is hit the Xbox button, go to Parties & Chats and click on Try Discord Voice on Xbox. A QR code will pop up and once you scan it, your Discord account with link up with your Xbox gamer tag.
Xbox added that “While you are playing on your console, you will be able to see who is in the call and speaking. You’ll also be able to adjust the sound, and switch between Discord Voice and Xbox game chat.”
Elsewhere in gaming, original DOOM co-creator John Romero is working on a new FPS game using Unreal Engine 5.
