Dior‘s ready-to-wear collections by Maria Grazia Chiuri are one of the highlights of fashion month. Every season, the designer is able to tap into the dreams and desires of young women, and translate that into a decadent presentation of fashion and design. For autumn/winter 2021, Dior explored the fashion fantasies that are keeping us entertained until we can have real world adventures once again.
For Chiuri, the act of dressing up means we can be anyone and anywhere — including mermaids in the deep blue sea, Bridgerton-inspired debutantes charming a duke at a ball, or cottagecore cuties foraging in a local mushroom patch. Dior’s autumn/winter 2021 collection is sure to be a visual and sartorial sensation that will be streaming live on Monday, 8 March. Until the new collection is unveiled, the brand released a silent comic-book-style teaser video illustrated by Teresa Cherubini that follows an animated Dior model through her stylish dreams and fantasies.
