Demon Slayer fans can rejoice because the anime series’ third season has officially received a release date. Swordsmith Village Arc is set to premiere in April 2023. When it debuts on TV, it will be a one-hour special instead of the usual 22-minute episode.
The release timeframe was confirmed in the latest Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba promotional reel that was revealed by Aniplex. Based on the images that were shown in the teaser back in February 2022, the new arc appears to be centered around the Demon Slayer Corps’ Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji. Snippets from the Entertainment District Arc finale also hinted at the presence of Doma — the rainbow-eyed Upper 6 demon. It will likely feature 10-12 episodes with the primary Hashira being Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji.
In addition, the upcoming screenings of “World Tour Jōei: Kimetsu no Yaiba Jōgen Shūketsu, Soshite Katanakaji no Sato e” or Demon Slayer: The Upper Ranks Gather and Onward to the Swordsmith Village were announced. This is a special showing that will air season 2’s Entertainment District Arc’s episodes 10 and 11 along with the first episode of Swordsmith Village Arc in theaters.
For other news, Disney+ announced exclusive streaming rights for Tokyo Revengers Season 2.
