Following the finale of Demon Slayer Season 2, in which viewers were shown the tragic backstories of Upper Six demons Gyutaro and Daki and Tengen Uzui‘s retirement, a new teaser has been released, revealing that Season 3 Swordsmith Village Arc is currently in production.

From the images shown in the teaser, the new arc looks to revolve around the Demon Slayer Corps’ Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji. Scenes from the Entertainment District Arc finale also hint at the appearance of rainbow-eyed Upper 6 demon, Doma.
While Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Seasons 1 and 2 had a more-than two-year gap, the Mugen Train movie was released in between, and complications brought on by COVID-19 reportedly had an impact on the release dates. While no official date has been announced, fans are currently anticipating a Season 3 premiere late this year or early next year.
