Dehd Announce New Album Blue Skies, Share New Song “Bad Love”: Listen

Dehd have announced a new album. Their third full-length is titled Blue Skies and it’s due out May 27 via Fat Possum. Dehd have also released the lead single “Bad Love” alongside a music video co-directed by vocalist Emily Kempf and Kevin Veselka. Check that out below.

“‘Bad Love’ is about recovering from love addiction and making a decision to stop choosing and aligning with people who aren’t your energetic match,” said Kempf in a statement. “I wrote it for myself and for everyone who needed to hear a song about choosing new forms of love. It’s about chasing a relationship with oneself rather than an unhealthy one, one that just doesn’t quite fit, or a codependent one.”

Blue Skies follows Dehd’s 2020 sophomore LP Flower of Devotion. The 13-track record was recorded by Dehd and saw the band working with mixing engineer Craig Silvey and mastering engineer Heba Kadry for the first time.

This spring, Dehd will embark on a North American tour in support of their new album. It kicks off on April 30 in Atlanta, Georgia and sees the band performing in major cities like Denver, Seattle, Los Angeles, Austin, Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto, and Chicago. The tour then concludes on June 11 with a set at Governors Ball in New York. Find the full list of tour dates below.
