Aston Villa are interested in signing the Burnley winger Dwight McNeil this summer.
According to Football Insider, the West Midlands club are keen on a move for the Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe but they could turn their attentions towards McNeil if the Gunners refuse to sell the youngster.
Villa have already had two bids knocked back for the Arsenal midfielder.
According to the report, Dean Smith wants to sign a versatile forward this summer and McNeil has been earmarked as a key target. The Premier League side are willing to pay big money for the 21-year-old winger this summer.
McNeill has been a key player for Burnley and he has the potential to develop into a top-class footballer. His signing could prove to be a quality long-term investment for the West Midlands club this summer.
The 21-year-old picked up two goals and five assists across all competitions last season and he can operate on both flanks.
The youngster will add pace and flair to the Aston Villa attack and he could prove to be an upgrade on the likes of Trezeguet and Anwar El Ghazi.
The winger has a contract with Burnley until the summer of 2024 and the Clarets have an option for a further year. They are under no pressure to sell McNeil this summer and Villa will have to come up with a massive bid to tempt them into selling the youngster.
