Award-winning Nigerian musician, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, on Tuesday, declared himself as the President of the ‘Cheerful Givers Association of Nigeria’.
The trend did not start today has some prominent individuals in the music industry had early voted to be members of the ‘Stingy Men Association’.
However, D’banj who does not believe in the sting men association took to his official Instagram account on Tuesday to announce the development.
The former Mo’Hit record singer wrote, “@bigbirdkuti I’m Honored to be the president And National Facilitator of The CGAN Just because Givers Never Lack!!!! #Dbanj”
The Association has a motto which states, “because African Women are worth it”.
The highly respected musician, Seun Kuti, created the ‘Cheerful Givers Association after the Stingy Men Association was formed by Mavins Record boss, Don Jazzy.
Seun Kuti in his reaction to the stingy association felt there was a need to create the “Cheerful Givers Association”.
The musician wrote on his Instagram account, “What is this STINGY MEN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (SMAN) Trying to give us a bad name. We Nigerian men that understand the art of taking care of our women. If we don’t do it who will? Abeg join the winning team because AFRICAN WOMEN ARE WORTH IT #getthesax”
